The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the "Latvijas dālijas" society, the Botanical Garden of the University of Latvia, and the National Botanical Garden. This year, special attention will be given to the latest varieties of dahlias created by breeders and presented to the public for the first time. Among them is the new variety by Aivars Baroniņš, "AB Katrīna." Great interest is expected in the dahlias from the "Tahoma," "Lee’s," "Levis," "KA’s," "RM," and "Blomquist" series, which are currently very popular among enthusiasts of these flowers. At the exhibition, visitors will be able to see varieties such as "KA’s Cinder Rose," "RM Pink Sugar," "Lee’s Starchild," "Hapet Rosaly," and other dahlias that are currently of great interest to collectors worldwide. The exhibition is being prepared by representatives of the "Latvijas dālijas" society — breeders Aivars Baroniņš, Inese Mellace, and Evita Puzane, as well as collectors Katrīna Kiessnere, Daiga and Peters Pikše, and Rita and Jānis Ancāni. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet with specialists in growing and breeding dahlias, ask them questions of interest, and receive practical advice on growing and caring for these flowers, preparing them for winter, as well as selecting the most suitable varieties for their gardens.
