For cutting from the mother plant, I choose healthy and beautiful leaves, usually from the 2nd or 3rd row from the bottom. The lower leaves are too old for planting, and the upper ones are not strong enough yet. I cut the chosen leaf at an angle, ensuring the cutting is no longer than 5 cm. It’s better to cut the leaf than to break it, as it gets damaged less. I treat the cut on the bush and the separated leaf with a weak solution of potassium permanganate. I place the “mother” leaf in a glass of settled water as soon as possible, into which I have added a tablet of activated charcoal. I put the glass in a warm, shaded place. Roots appear in 2-3 days. When the roots reach 1-1.5 cm, I plant the plant in a pre-prepared pot.
