Against the backdrop of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, there have been repeated reports of potential air threats in Lithuania in recent months; however, this is the first time a drone has been shot down over the country. Similar incidents had previously occurred in Latvia and Estonia. Last Sunday, residents of the southeastern part of Lithuania were also warned about a possible air threat, but it later turned out that the radars had detected a flock of birds.
