Wednesday will be one of the warmest days of the week in Latvia. According to meteorologists' forecasts, in the afternoon, the air temperature will reach +18 to +22 degrees, but calm weather will not be observed everywhere. Throughout the day, the sky will be partly cloudy. The most favorable conditions are expected in the central and eastern parts of the country, while in Kurzeme, the clouds will increase, and in the evening, starting from the western regions, rain will begin. At the same time, the southern wind will strengthen. In most areas, its gusts will reach 8 to 13 meters per second, and on the western coast of Kurzeme, up to 16 meters per second. For the residents of Riga, the day promises to be comfortable. No precipitation is forecasted, the sun will occasionally peek out, and the air temperature will rise to about +21 degrees. This weather is associated with the approach of a cold atmospheric front. While Latvia remains under the influence of warm air masses, the cyclone over Scandinavia is gradually changing the situation. This means that the warm day may serve as a transition before cooler and rainier weather begins to spread across the country from the west.
