The appeal was signed by 21 politicians, including the leader of the Law and Justice party Jarosław Kaczyński, Member of the European Parliament Grzegorz Braun, and former Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki. This was reported by TVN24. The authors of the appeal state that, in their opinion, the Polish state does not sufficiently support Poles living in Ukraine. The initiative united representatives of several Polish right-wing political forces - Law and Justice, Confederation, Development Plus, and the Confederation of the Polish Crown. The proposal to hold the march in Lviv arose against the backdrop of ongoing disputes between Poland and Ukraine regarding historical memory and policies towards national minorities. Earlier, Grzegorz Braun, head of the Confederation of the Polish Crown, damaged a monument to the Ukrainian Insurgent Army in Białystok, Poland, in the Lublin Voivodeship.
