**_— What did the chairperson say?_** — Not only did the speech start 20 minutes later than scheduled and last over an hour, but we also did not hear anything from Mrs. von der Leyen about reducing bureaucracy, correcting the disastrous green course and the so-called climate neutrality, or about NATO and Article 5 of the NATO Charter, which underpins the security of the continent. Instead, Mrs. von der Leyen spoke about some 4th point. It is no coincidence that her speech was applauded by the left, liberals, and greens, who clearly share the position of the European Commission chairperson on the green course and migration. By the way, Mrs. von der Leyen invited the Canadian Prime Minister, who is a typical representative of liberal circles. The chairperson of the European Commission reminded us again about the migration pact, which has already led to an influx of migrants into the European Union! It is already known that Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia no longer intend to even hear about the migration pact, let alone implement it! ## The “Left Weather” Still Prevails — The reality is that the “left weather” still prevails in the European Parliament, and the absurd “green course” dominates. However, sentiments in old Europe are rapidly changing, and if this continues, I would not be surprised if the right wins throughout Germany, and Marine Le Pen wins in France in the presidential elections in 7 months! Leftist politics will soon crack at the seams! If we talk about our political group “Patriots of Europe,” I am proud to have been one of its founders two years ago! Whatever happens, this fact cannot be erased from history! For two years, we, the “Patriots of Europe,” which consists of 84 deputies from 12 countries, have worked as a strong team driven by one goal — to save Europe and preserve traditional values. ## Preserve Traditional Values, Preserve Europe! — Some try to label us as far-right, but we consider ourselves supporters of conservative values. We advocate for strong families, that is, the union of a man and a woman, for a tough migration policy, and for the elimination of the green course based on the pseudoscience of climate neutrality! We are criticized by those who want pride parades and claim that there are hundreds of genders! It is clear that this is completely unacceptable to us — we believe that there are only two genders — male and female! I have no doubt that Europe will soon, very soon, return to these traditional values. In the current European Parliament, we are still in the minority, but the turning point has already occurred, and the extension of the deadline for CO₂ emission restrictions is proof of that. ## A Blow to Its Own Industry — Returning to the topic of the green course, I would like to remind you that it was initially proposed to ban the sale of cars with internal combustion engines in Europe starting in 2035! Not only is this absurd in itself, but such restrictions primarily harm Europe’s own industry. The enthusiasm for electric vehicles in Germany has created significant problems for the Volkswagen Group, and the production of Audi electric vehicles in Belgium has shut down... Understand me correctly: we are not against electric vehicles. The market decides, that is, the consumer, and if there is growing demand for electric vehicles, then they will be produced in even greater volumes. If there is demand for gasoline and diesel cars, then they should continue to be produced! ## airBaltic “Went” to American Court. What’s Next? **_— Mr. Kristopans, as you know, recently the airline airBaltic filed for restructuring in an American court under the U.S. code. What do you think will happen next, and will the Latvian state be able to maintain control over the national airline?_** — Some foreign media have already called this process bankruptcy. But, as far as one can understand, this is a process of legal protection, meaning that during the restructuring, creditors cannot attempt to recover debts from airBaltic. But there is no guarantee that the restructuring will be successful. In the event of failure, the next step is insolvency. The practice under Chapter 11 varies — many American airlines have not been able to successfully complete the legal protection process and went under. Well, we’ll see.
