In the greenhouse, visitors will be able to meet the "potato dealer" Marģers Pakalns, who will present more than ten varieties of potatoes grown on the Piekalnes farm, share new potato dish recipes, and invite visitors to an exhibition of tubers in unusual shapes and colors. Regular farmers trading in the market's pavilion and courtyard will showcase the best potato varieties and the most interesting finds from this year's harvest. Guest cafes in the courtyard will prepare a special potato menu. A variety of potato dishes will be available that day from the market's regular cafes and traders. For example, Meat Me will offer mashed potatoes with local chanterelles and braised pork, Bravo Johnny will fry potato pancakes, AsaGi will prepare sweet potato fries, and Raugs pizza will serve pizza with potatoes, rosemary, and eggplant. At Latgolys Golds, traditional Latgale potato dumplings and potato bread will be available. Lauku bauda will offer takeout zeppelins, while Spice House will prepare special spice mixes for fried potatoes and sweet potatoes.
