After the call, the leaders agreed to meet in New York. Zelensky did not specify when the negotiations would take place. "We agreed to meet in New York, and this meeting could change a lot. A diplomatic momentum has formed," the President of Ukraine wrote on his Facebook page. The upcoming meeting will continue the contacts between Kyiv and Washington amid the ongoing war and discussions on further support for Ukraine. Earlier, Zelensky had stated that he hoped to meet with Trump in the second half of September. One of the key topics he mentioned was strengthening Ukraine's missile defense. The meeting is expected to take place during high-level events in New York, where world leaders traditionally gather during this time.
