On Thursday, the weather in Latvia will remain unstable. According to meteorologists, brief rain showers are possible in many areas of the country; however, the most intense and prolonged precipitation is expected in Latgale and Vidzeme, especially in areas closer to the border with Russia. The sky will be mostly overcast throughout the day. An exception will be Kurzeme, where the likelihood of sunny weather is significantly higher. The air temperature will remain cool, typical for autumn. Maximum values will range from +10 degrees in the east of the country to +16…+17 degrees in some areas of western Latvia. The temperature difference between the east and west of the country will be noticeable: the coolest conditions are expected in the border areas of Latgale, while the most comfortable weather is forecasted in Kurzeme. A light to moderate north and northwest wind will blow, which will not bring significant strengthening. In Riga, no significant precipitation is forecasted until the evening. During the day, the air will warm up to about +14 degrees, and overcast weather will occasionally give way to clearings. According to meteorologists, the weather conditions in Latvia are being influenced by a cyclone approaching the country from the southeast. Atmospheric pressure will be 1009–1013 hPa. Those planning trips to the eastern regions of the country should consider the possibility of prolonged rain and take waterproof clothing or an umbrella with them.
