The law on financing political organizations stipulates that a party that received more than 2% of the votes in the recent Saeima elections will receive from the state budget for each vote an amount equal to 0.9% of the minimum monthly wage within a calendar year. Political forces that overcome the 5% barrier are additionally entitled to funding of 200 minimum monthly wages per year. At the same time, the total amount of state funding for one political organization cannot exceed 1,600 minimum monthly wages per year. Thus, based on the current plans, parties that received more than 2% of the votes are entitled to €7.38 for each vote received in the elections. At least 282,801 voters supported AS in the recent elections. This would correspond to funding of at least €2,087,071. Since the party also overcame the 5% barrier, an additional €164,000 should be added to this amount. As a result, the estimated funding amount for AS in 2027 would be at least €2,251,071. However, the law sets a maximum limit of 1,600 minimum wages. With a minimum wage of €820, this amounts to €1,312,000 per year, so this is the maximum amount AS will be able to receive. At least 104,946 voters supported "Latvia First" (LPV). For the votes received, the party is entitled to at least €774,501, and an additional €164,000 for overcoming the 5% barrier. Thus, the total funding for LPV in 2027 could be at least €938,501. "Sovereign Power/Union of Young Latvians" (SV/AJ), according to preliminary data, received at least 11.7% of the votes — supported by at least 94,042 voters. For the votes received, it is entitled to €694,030, and together with the additional €164,000 — at least €858,030. The National Alliance (NA) was supported by at least 71,367 voters. This gives the party the right to funding of at least €526,688. Considering the additional €164,000, the total amount will be around €690,688. At least 62,839 voters supported the "Progressives," which corresponds to funding of at least €463,752. Together with the additional payment for overcoming the 5% barrier, the party will be able to receive at least €627,752. The last political force to overcome the 5% barrier was "New Unity" (JV), which was supported by at least 50,907 voters. For these votes, the party is entitled to at least €375,693, and with the additional €164,000, the total amount will be at least €539,693. State funding is also provided for parties that did not enter the Saeima but received more than 2% of the votes. The Union of Greens and Farmers (ZZS), which received approximately 4.409%, garnered support from at least 35,388 voters. This will allow the political force to receive at least €261,163 per year. At least 27,524 people voted for the party "We Change the Rules," which corresponds to funding of at least €203,127. "For the Development of Latvia" received at least 17,497 votes and can expect at least €129,128 in state funding. The party "Stability!" after counting results from 1,042 out of 1,059 precincts is balancing at the 2% mark. At least 16,034 voters supported it. If the party does overcome the 2% threshold, it will be able to receive at least €118,331 per year. If the final result is below 2%, it will not be entitled to state funding. Funding from the state budget is provided to parties for four years and begins to be paid from the next calendar year after the Saeima elections. Payments are made twice a year — by January 15 and by July 15.
