Antonina Nenashova, a member of the Saeima from the 'Progressives' party, told the LETA agency that the result of the 'Progressives' in this election cannot be called a failure. Moreover, if we look at the results of the parties with which the 'Progressives' were previously in coalition, the results of the 'Progressives' can be considered excellent. At the same time, Nenashova acknowledged that the party had hoped for better results. When asked where the 'Progressives' see their place in the newly elected Saeima - in the ruling coalition or in opposition - Nenashova replied that the party is not afraid to work, but this will depend on the winning 'United List' (UL) and Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs. According to Nenashova, it is necessary to understand what solutions Kulbergs can propose for various problematic issues. 'The UL and Kulbergs received a very large credit of trust, but to talk about a coalition, we need to see solutions. We have not seen them yet,' she said. 'Our desires or possibilities depend on all of this,' Nenashova stated. The 'Progressives' can count on nine mandates in the new Saeima.
