During political consultations with Pakistan, Latvia emphasized the need to continue supporting Ukraine

Representatives of both countries confirmed their interest in strengthening political dialogue and expanding trade cooperation. Particular attention was paid to cooperation in international organizations, primarily in the UN Security Council, where Latvia and Pakistan are non-permanent members. The Latvian side emphasized the importance of further international support for Ukraine. The participants of the consultations also discussed the impact of the Russian war against Ukraine on the security of Europe and the world. In addition, the diplomats exchanged views on current security threats in the Middle East and Afghanistan.
