The main feature of the competition was the boxing gloves that the organizers made professional chefs wear. In this form, they could not use knives, pans, or other kitchen utensils. Their task was solely to give instructions to their partners. Each team consisted of a professional chef and an amateur, who had to carry out all culinary operations independently under the guidance of their mentor. Participants were asked to prepare one of the classic dishes of French cuisine — a fluffy soufflé omelet — in 20 minutes. The task proved to be challenging: the kitchen was filled with hustle and tension, as mentors tried to explain to their inexperienced assistants how to achieve the desired consistency and not ruin the dish. A professional jury, composed of well-known representatives from the gastronomic world, including the famous French chef Éric Fréchon, observed the proceedings. Despite the culinary failures of some teams, the judges evaluated not only the quality of the dishes prepared but also the participants' ability to work together under unusual conditions. The winner of the competition was Patricia Maton, who admitted to reporters after the contest that she hardly ever cooks seriously in her everyday life. Nevertheless, she managed to successfully complete the task thanks to the advice of her professional mentor. The organizers were pleased with the experiment and hope to turn such culinary competitions into a regular event.
