The new work week will start with rain, and by the middle of the week, precipitation will decrease; however, starting Thursday, rain clouds will cover Latvia again, predicts the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center. On Monday, October 26, the sky will be mostly cloudy, with the sun peeking out only in some places. A zone of precipitation will cross the country from the west, so rain is expected almost everywhere. The southern and southwestern wind will strengthen with gusts up to 15–19 m/s: at night in the western and central regions, and during the day mainly along the seaside. The temperature at night will be +6…+11 degrees, and during the day +9…+12. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the cloud cover will be variable. More clouds are expected in the west of the country, where rain will fall on Tuesday night and in the morning. Wednesday is forecasted to be dry. Fog may occur in some places at night and in the morning, reducing visibility. The wind will be southern and southeastern, weak or moderate, with gusts still present on the coast on Tuesday. On Tuesday night, the temperature will drop to +3…+7 degrees, while it will be warmer on the coast — up to +7…+11. On the night of Wednesday, it will be about a degree colder. During the day, the air will warm up to +9…+13 degrees. In the second half of the week, the weather will remain relatively calm: the sun will alternate with clouds, and the wind will be predominantly southern, weak or moderate. Rain will fall at different times in almost all regions of the country. No significant changes in temperature are expected — it will remain at approximately the same level as in previous days.
