In a statement signed by the company's director Kanan Vishwanath, it is noted that the names of the mentioned scientists were published on the company's website in connection with their participation in the opening of the Artificial Intelligence Center in Riga on June 12 of this year. The company explains that the purpose of the publication was to honor the guests of the event, not to indicate their involvement in the company's governing or advisory bodies. "Zoar Limited" acknowledges that the placement of information on the website may have created a false impression of the scientists' connection with the company. The statement also expresses a willingness to provide clarifications and submit documents to the competent authorities. The names of Kalviņš, Rīvja, and Linde have been publicly mentioned in recent weeks in connection with discussions about granting Latvian citizenship to Kanan Vishwanath's wife, Divya Vishwanath. As reported, on October 15, the Saeima adopted a law granting Vishwanath citizenship for special merits, and on October 22, it adopted a law repealing the previous decision.
