Latvian hockey teams will still not play against Russia

The Latvian Hockey Federation (LHF) said it "strongly opposes the return of Russia and Belarus to international hockey" – exactly the same position it has held since the start of Russia's full-,scale invasion of Ukraine, abetted by Belarus, in 2022.

"As long as the war started by Russia in Ukraine continues, the Latvian hockey teams will not play against the national teams of Russia and Belarus," the LHF stated.
