Industrial output slightly up on year in Latvia

Output in manufacturing rose by 5.2 %, in mining and quarrying it grew by 26.0 %, whereas in electricity and gas supply it fell by 18.9 %.

Increased industrial production output was recorded in two out of three largest manufacturing sectors: in manufacture of food products it increased by 7.4 % and in manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, by 7.5 %.
