The Minister of Finance, Maris Kucinskis, who also leads the parliamentary faction of the United List, acknowledged during the broadcast of the show "Kas notiek Latvijā?" on Latvian TV this evening that if the European Union does not allocate the necessary funding, Latvia will not be able to implement the Rail Baltica project. The maximum that Latvia can spend from its budget on this project is just over 150 million per year. But then the construction will be delayed until 2041! "If we do not receive the necessary funds, then the Saeima will have to decide whether we say goodbye to Rail Baltica or not," said Maris Kucinskis.
