Among the priorities, he named the budget and finance (tax) committee, the committee on national economy, agriculture, environmental and regional policy, the committee on defense, internal affairs, and anti-corruption, the committee on state administration and local government affairs, as well as the committee on foreign affairs. At the same time, Kučinskis did not rule out that the leadership of certain committees could be entrusted to cooperation partners or the opposition if suitable candidates are available. In particular, he stated that he would again trust the committee on local government affairs to Oleg Buravs, with whom he had previously worked. According to Kučinskis, the budget and finance committee and the committee on national economy should definitely be headed by the 'United List'. At the same time, he suggested discussing the possibility of splitting the committee on national economy into two due to its heavy workload. Kučinskis also emphasized the strategic importance of the committees on defense and internal affairs, foreign affairs, and local governments. Speaking about the distribution of responsibilities between the parliament and the government, the minister noted that the prime minister should not be separated from financial policy and is also responsible for foreign policy. In Kučinskis' opinion, the head of government needs a strong assistant in the form of the foreign minister, as the prime minister is responsible for the work of all ministers. Kučinskis himself stated that he does not plan to head a parliamentary committee, as he will not have time for it. However, he intends to participate in the work of one of them and share his accumulated experience. As reported, President Edgars Rinkēvičs tasked 'United List' politician Kulbergs with forming a new government after the convening of the 15th Saeima. Kulbergs had previously expressed hope to propose a model for the new Cabinet of Ministers by mid-November.
