If you are allergic to household chemicals or simply do not want to breathe in synthetic fragrance compositions from the store, this material is for you! We will show you how to create eco-friendly fragrant products for your home in just 5 minutes using accessible ingredients. Fragrance Water For air in the home Take any diffuser, pour in warm water, add a few drops of your favorite natural essential oil, and spray it into the air, on curtains, furniture, decorative pillows, and other surfaces. * Recipe 1: 30 drops of essential oil per 100 ml of water. * Recipe 2: lemon and rosemary Take a saucepan, pour in a glass of water, and put it on the heat. Slice the lemon into circles and add a sprig of rosemary (or rosemary essential oil). Bring the water to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 2 hours. When the water cools, pour it into a spray bottle and use it as fragrance water. Fragrance Wipes * For washing textiles Remove the covers from decorative pillows, curtains, and throws, as they often absorb unpleasant odors. Before washing, place a cotton cloth with 10 drops of essential oil in the drum. After washing, the items will have a wonderful light fragrance and will become softer. Fragrance Iron * For bed linen Fill the iron not just with regular water, but with water containing 8–10 drops of essential oil — the ironing process will become easier, and the linen will acquire a trail of your favorite scent. Fragrance Soda * For cleaning the home Instead of “chemicals,” which many are allergic to, use baking soda for cleaning — it’s cheap, effective, and practical. Recipe: take 10 drops of essential oil per 100 g of baking soda, mix it, and transfer it to a bottle. Put a foil cap on it, poke holes, and gently sprinkle the resulting powder on soft surfaces — carpets, furniture. Let the soda absorb dirt and odors, and after half an hour, vacuum thoroughly. The soda perfectly absorbs everything unnecessary, while the essential oil leaves a pleasant aroma. Fragrance Vacuum Cleaner * For neutralizing specific odors To remove specific unpleasant odors from the vacuum cleaner during cleaning, moisten a cotton pad with essential oil, suck it up with the vacuum hose, and enjoy pleasant aromas while cleaning. Fragrance Mop * For floor cleaning Before mopping the floors, add lavender oil to the water — surfaces will not only be refreshed and scented but also disinfected during this cleaning. Recipe: for 5 liters of water, you will need: approximately 10 drops of lavender oil; 5 drops of tea tree oil; 30 ml of table vinegar. Sachets * For the wardrobe Take any small bags with ribbons (for example, for gift wrapping) made of lightweight fabric, fill them with rice, tea, dried flower petals, pine cones, etc., and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Place them in the wardrobe and enjoy the fragrances. Fragrance Fresheners * For the refrigerator Unpleasant odors in the refrigerator can be removed with baking soda: pour some baking soda with 5-6 drops of lemon or orange oil into an open jar — this mixture will perfectly absorb all unpleasant odors. * For the sink drain To remove unpleasant odors from the kitchen sink drain, add a little essential oil and pour in hot water. This procedure can be done every two days. Bamboo Diffuser * For any room Take a beautiful bottle, use baby oil as the base oil — pour it into the bottle. Then add 25–30 drops of essential oil. The bouquet depends on your wishes — whether you want energy, calmness, coziness, or fiery passions. Dip bamboo sticks into the solution — the diffuser is ready! It will not only scent the interior but also decorate it. Coffee Candle * For the living room interior Fill a small beautiful bowl with coffee beans and light a tea candle: it heats the beans and spreads a divine coffee aroma throughout the room. Fragrance Bombs * For the bathroom Making bombs to maintain fresh air in the restroom is very easy: mix baking soda and citric acid, add hydrogen peroxide, and gradually add vinegar. Make sure the mixture does not become liquid. Distribute it into silicone ice cube molds. You can use regular watercolor or food coloring to create shades. Later, these bombs can be placed in a jar and opened for air scenting. Felt Fragrance Diffuser * For any room A very simple and practical fragrance diffuser can be made from felt circles — furniture leg pads. Stick this circle anywhere — for example, on the back wall of the console in the living room or the sofa, and add your favorite essential oil to it.
